About The Firm

Property Tax Specialists is an award winning boutique practice focusing on people with investments in property. We provide comprehensive range of services including consulting, business advisory, proactive tax planning and tax compliance. 

We are the ‘go to’ Tax Specialists for property investors and developers. Our firm is recognised for client satisfaction, practical, timely advice and support. 

Property Tax Specialist is a growing firm and if you are driven, ambitious, eager to learn and grow we have the opportunity for you to become a dynamic business contributor. 

We have a dynamic, expanding client base and are looking to attract a qualified Business Services Manager to assist the principals and manage a small team of qualified accountants. 

You will learn the business from the ground up and then progress quickly to play a key role in the firm. 

Working in our Chatswood office, you will be responsible for managing clients, review work and ensure quality service. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • “Can do” attitude
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Capability of a large amount of professional growth over a short number of years
  • University qualification – Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting or Law
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • 4 to 6 years similar experience i.e. preparing and reviewing tax returns in Public Practice in Australia
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Australian tax legislation
  • Proficiency in the use of Xero, Xero Tax & XPM
  • Excellent Time management skills, punctuality and reliability
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of complex income tax returns and financial statements for:
    • Companies
    • Trusts
    • Partnerships and
    • Individuals
  • Review of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
  • Tax research and providing advice on complex matters
  • Mentor and coaching staff and provide support to team members and partners
  • Attend client meetings
